Club Swimming & Indoor Track (Kutztown Co-op)

Guidelines for Eligibility in Non- Sponsored Individual Sports  

The Brandywine Heights Area School District will allow high school students to participate in non sponsored individual sports, while following the guidelines below:

1) Interested participants must register and complete forms and physical on PlanetHS.com

2) The Activity Fee must be paid by the interested participant. 

4) Athletes must meet all eligibility requirements to participate in sports at Brandywine Heights that is defined in the student athlete handbook.

5) An athlete who participates in swimming can achieve a varsity letter. In order to receive a varsity letter for swimming, athletes must qualify for the District 3 tournament. 

6) The athletic department will provide student athletes with a warm up suit for swimmers. Track uniforms may be provided by Kutztown.

7) If the student athlete is participating in a sponsored sport in the winter, they will need permission from the in-season sports coach to participate. Missed practices or contests to participate in events may be considered unexcused. 

Per PIAA rules, since a coach is required for participating , the volunteer coach will be chosen by the Brandywine Heights Athletic Director prior to the start of the season.

(High School Swimming and Cross Country)

The Brandywine Heights Area School District will allow high school stu

dents to participate in non-

sponsored individual sports, such as swimming and cross country, while followi

ng the guidelines below:

1.

Interested participants must sign-up before the season begins

in

the Athletic Office.

2.

Students must obtain a PIAA physical, clearing them for participation

.

3.

The Activity Fee must be paid by the interested participant.

This fee will go towards providing entry into tournaments and eligible mee

ts.

4.

Athletes must meet all eligibility requirements to participate in sports

at Brandywine Heights

that is defined in the student-athlete handbook.

5.

Starting in the 2014-2015 school year, athletes who participate in swi

mming and/or cross

country can achieve a varsity letter. In order to receive a varsity letter, at

hletes must qualify for

the District 3 tournament in their chosen sport.

6.

The athletic department will provide student-athletes with a warm-up for swimm

ers, and a

uniform for cross country.

7.

If the student-athlete is participating in a sponsored sport in either the fal

l or winter, they will
